At ISE 2017, Philips Professional Display Solutions launched a range of exciting new displays – the company’s unique portfolio of creation and remote management software solutions – for new software and app developer partnerships, supporting the company’s drive into vertical market segments.
Recent product launches will allow Philips Professional Display Solutions, and its partners, to offer personalised and tailored solutions to customers in a wider range of vertical markets, including retail, food and beverage, transportation, banking and finance, public venues, education, healthcare, corporate and hospitality.
With the launch of the new P Series line of displays, Philips Professional Display Solutions will take the power of Android into a mid-range product for the first time.
The P Line range will be available with an attractive narrow bezel design in 42, 49 and 55in display sizes, offering a full specification including a high-brightness – with a choice of 500 and 700cd versions – high-contrast, high-quality, extra-wide viewing angle IPS panel that can be used in landscape or portrait modes and 24/7 with FailOver protection.
The Android OS also brings integrated player functionality to allow the apps to be loaded and played directly from the display, giving an easier and lower-cost installation as no external hardware is required.
Wired network connections are included, and an integrated mPCIe slot is available for the connection of an optional Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module, or 4G/LTE device, for off-site communication.
In addition to the new Android products, Philips Professional Display Solutions will also unveil the new L-Line, the
company’s first direct-view LED display, offering scalability and exceptional performance.
The 55in L-Line display is a true zero-bezel model, designed for indoor installation and offering almost unlimited, seamless scalability to suit any budget.
Whatever the final size of the installation, the L-Line offers outstanding performance with super-sharp images thanks to a small pixel pitch – with an option of 1.8 or 2.5mm versions – and UltraHigh refresh rate. Brightness and contrast are also exceptional, while colour accuracy is superb thanks to a wide colour range and Trueblack performance.
Also added is an additional model for the company’s high-end X-Series of displays. The new 55in X-Series full HD display will feature an ultra-narrow bezel of just 1.8mm, for the option of building a near seamless UHD videowall.
Full-solution partnerships
Philips-branded Professional Display Products and solutions will celebrate its 40th anniversary in the professional display business in 2017 and has marked the occasion by announcing a range of strategic new partnerships that will allow it to remain a dominant player in the professional TV environment while also offering ‘must have’ technology to the digital signage market.
The new partnerships will also allow the company to offer complete and dedicated solutions to all vertical B2B market sectors.
Following on from recent agreements with Navori and Instoremedia, Philips Professional Display Solutions has invested in new arrangements with software companies Smartsign, Gauddi and Signstix.
Meanwhile, in the area of app development, Philips Professional Display Solutions also has a new partnership with app developer Teamviewer; this joins recent agreements with leading developers Airserver and Gamestream.
Philips Professional Display Solutions’ ongoing success has been built around the company’s dedicated focus on the B2B market and, in particular, the combination of offering exceptional service, outstanding product performance and the introduction of groundbreaking innovations – such as the CMND creation and management system, the full integration of player and controller within the display, and the option of machine-to-machine communication.
Next to this, Philips Professional Display Solutions will also continue with its unique implementation of its Android SOC (system on chip) solution by expanding it throughout the digital signage product portfolio and into the Professional Smart TV range – thereby leveraging customer access to the world’s largest software development platform.
