The leading event for HORECA will be revealing all the latest contract updates from major world companies but also customised solutions designed for the professional hospitality industry.
The latest trends speak of tasteful residences (using soft materials, intense nuances and clean lines), quiet surroundings (with the focus on sustainability, colours and materials inspired by the natural world) and joy-filled ambience (with prevalence of bright and cheerful colours, plenty of patterns and unexpected combinations). In addition to accountable consumables and locally sourced ingredients, principles include open layouts using glass walls and furnishings made of natural materials. The trend is to make guests feel at home – again.
HostMilano is the trendsetter, as confirmed by the figures: with just a few months to go to its inauguration, 1,912 companies have already confirmed participation (+8% compared with 2017), 1,127 of which are Italian (+7%) and 785 hailing from abroad (+10%), from 54 countries including new entries from Albania, Argentina, Colombia, Iran, Latvia and Lebanon.
The exhibition layout will be complemented by more than 500 world-class events, including the Smart Label Host Innovation Award for innovative products and services, organised by POLI.design under the patronage of Associazione Italiana per il Disegno Industriale (ADI). Always hosted are the Design Talks workshops, again organised by POLI.design.
