28th June 2021 – Savoy Signature, leading hotel group in Madeira, is delighted to be welcoming UK guests back to their hotels from 30th June, as Madeira has been officially added to the UK’s ‘Green List’.
NEXT Hotel – Launching 1st July 2021
NEXT Hotel will open next month. It is a concept aimed to meet the needs of millennial-mindsets with a high-tech space; it celebrates both vibrancy and a connection with the local Madeiran community.
Industrial finishes and immersive art installations set against the backdrop of the vast Atlantic Ocean, complete with direct access to the sea, stunning rooftop pool and the high-quality characterising Savoy Signature hotels, will create one of the most sought-after hotel experiences on this subtropical jewel.
Savoy Palace – Flagship Hotel
Member of Leading Hotels of The World, the interiors for this contemporary ode to Madeira are a joint venture between the destination's top designer, Nini Andrade Silva, and RH+ Architects. The hotel, which opened in 2019, tells the story of Madeira’s traditions, landscape and culture through striking design.
Heal Through Nature at The Laurea Spa
One of the highlights of the luxurious hotel is the 3,100 square metre destination Laurea Spa, inspired by Madeira’s most beautiful natural treasure and a UNESCO World Heritage Site – the Laurissilva Forest.
Madeira is world famous for its natural beauty and outdoor activities. How better to heal from the stresses of the pandemic than to bathe in the ancient forests and mountains which cover much of this subtropical island, followed by more nature-inspired healing at one of Europe’s most exciting new spas, with world-class treatments from the likes of Sodashi, Aromatherapy Associates and Vitaman.
Saccharum hotel – a wellness sanctuary
Built on the site of an old sugar cane mill, Saccharum’s design is a contemporary celebration of Madeira’s long tradition of farming this crop, by the destination’s number one designer Nini Andrade Silva. On the south-west coast of Madeira in a secluded spot cut into the cliffside, the resort houses four swimming pools, a beautiful ila spa, several bars and restaurants, including one à la carte.
Saccharum is much loved for its hideaway feel. It is a five-minute stroll from a quiet marina and a great base from which to explore the breathtakingly beautiful landscape of this subtropical archipelago.
