PITTSBURGH, December 15, 2020 — Hotel management, development and investment group Raines Hospitality is nearing completion of a systemwide rollout of Aptech, the industry standard for hospitality financial management. By January 1st, 19 properties in the company’s portfolio representing Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Choice, and Best Western brands, will be LIVE with Aptech’s next-generation, browser-based enterprise accounting solution, PVNG, and soon, the company will launch Aptech’s new business intelligence tool, Execuvue.
PVNG is built with hospitality accounting features and functions in the latest technology. Aptech has taken 50 years of hotel accounting knowledge and put it on the most current technology platform incorporating Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Statistics, Financials, and Bank Reconciliation, all with easy to use, familiar browser navigation. The user experience is simple and clean and has the features, functions, and professional support that hoteliers have come to expect from Aptech.
“PVNG’s flexible, browser-based configuration made it possible for our entire accounting team to work from home for three months at the onset of the pandemic,” said Marsi Cameron, senior vice president of accounting at Raines Hospitality. “With the safety of our employees being a top priority, this was huge. We migrated to Aptech because it is Windows based and because it features a high-power reporting package. As a multi-brand hotel operator, it’s critical from a sales and revenue perspective to be able to access data in one place, rather than having to access multiple systems to gather the data we need.
“PVNG is easy for our managers to use, and we can generate vendor, investor, and owner reports on the fly,” she said. “We can import and export journal entries and process invoices quickly; even the weekly payroll process is faster than before. Efficiency is key, and PVNG has proven to be a real game changer.”
In October, Aptech released the next version of its Execuvue business intelligence solution. The web-based hospitality application gathers and coordinates data from a wide variety of corporate systems, into accessible, easily understood information for ad hoc viewing and reporting. The NEW Execuvue features a completely redesigned user interface, making the customized reporting and data gathering tool even more intuitive to the business user.
Cameron said the entire accounting team has been thrilled with the transition to PVNG and everyone is even more eager to launch Execuvue, although a deployment date has not yet been set.
“We are looking forward to being trained on Execuvue,” Cameron said. “We expect that the Dashboard – which graphically displays our finance and operations data – will help us make smarter business decisions and give us actionable insights more quickly. As soon as we log in, we will have immediate access to the prior day’s information. Everyone from the top down is really looking forward to that functionality. Until then, we will continue working with Aptech on customizing the reconciliation module based on our feedback. They are an extremely responsive and customer-service oriented company.”
Aptech Vice President Cam Troutman said he is proud that Raines Hospitality is a satisfied Aptech customer, and he looks forward to introducing the company’s financial management products to the many Raines Hospitality hotels currently in the pipeline.
“We are delighted that Raines Hospitality made the switch to Aptech,” Troutman said. “This hospitality business was able to weather today’s economic storm far better with PVNG than it would have without it. We are honored to be their choice for financial management software and we anticipate that their enterprise will have equal success with Execuvue soon.”
