July 21, 2021 (Austin, Texas) – As the 2021 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®) nears, the event is ramping up its program and getting ready to welcome back the industry after a year off from taking place in-person. Now producers Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) is planning for increased capacity as it was just given word from the convention center that there will be no attendance limitations. In consideration of the ongoing pandemic, health safety guidelines and protocols will remain in place for the protection of all attendees. HITEC North America is September 27-30, 2021 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas USA.
"The hospitality industry is starting to build back business as restrictions are lifted and people are ready to travel again; but this does not mean business as usual." said HFTP CEO Frank Wolfe, CAE. "Rather hospitality organizations over the past year-and-a-half have made numerous updates to their business models, implemented new technology and are challenged with changing guest expectations. HITEC will be a great opportunity to come and see how these have been addressed and hear first-hand on what has and hasn’t worked."
HITEC Dallas has scheduled a four-day education program addressing the biggest industry topics such as: emerging technology in F&B, decentralized ID, direct distribution vs. third-parties, hyper-personalization, defining a digital hotel, ethical conundrums in technology, pressing cybersecurity threats and more. In addition, HITEC features an exhibit hall which will host over 250 solution providers displaying a range of products and services to support the hospitality technology industry.
Just announced is the HITEC Dallas Closing General Session Speaker: cybercrime expert John Sileo who will speak on September 30, from 2:15-3:30 p.m. CDT. John lost everything to cybercrime, including his multi-million-dollar software company and two years while facing jail time for cybercrimes he did not commit. He shares his experiences worldwide to keep others from suffering a similar fate. A keynote speaker, award-winning author and cyber-tech expert, John has been featured on 60 Minutes and Anderson Cooper, contributed to The Wall Street Journal and spoken for clients ranging from the Pentagon to Amazon, the Small Business Administration to Schwab.
Co-located with HITEC Dallas is the HFTP Annual Convention with a program that centers on financial management topics for clubs and hotels, along with complementary subjects such as tax law, human resources, leadership development and technology. HITEC Full Conference registrants have access to the Annual Convention full education program, a unique opportunity to expand the HITEC experience.
